Reconnecting
Lately, through Facebook, I have been reconnecting with friends and family I haven't had contact with in years. What an amazing thing the internet is! It's the perfect tool for a woman like me, one who can write a great letter but never seems to see the letter through to mailing. I wish there were a way for all of the people who I've written unmailed letters to through the years to see how often I actually thought of them and read all of the things I've wanted to share with them throughout the years. (Boy, talk about your run-on sentences) Now that I have kids who are getting older, I'm starting to realize how important the people you knew early in life are to the person you become later. I've been trying lately to get the kids to really think about the type of friends they choose. It's an amazingly difficult process. You want your kids to be friends with other kids who come from families with the same values that you have (this is getting to be extremely difficult), but you also want your children who tend to be leaders to realize what a great impact they can make on a child who doesn't have a great foundation to build on or who has temporarily lost their way. I hope that my children can be a good role model for their friends without being sucked into the bad behavior that their friends might be up to at times. This is my opening post ---- I hope to keep the posts in the future dedicated to my family and their daily events, especially when those daily events are touched by the Lord. Take care and God Bless from the Montana Glovers.
